Frankonia's EFS series field strength meters are suitable for field strength/field strength uniformity measurements according to IEC/EN 61000-4-3/-20 standards, but can also be used to measure environmental radiation exposure, for example in workplaces or apartments. EFS is an isotropic miniature electron field sensor to ensure that the electric field is not affected by the size of the sensor itself. It doesn't even need any other measuring unit (which can also affect the field strength), since it has a direct fiber optic output which allows the sensor to be connected directly to the interface of the USB control computer or laptop. Measurements can be made via the IEC/EN 61000-4-3/-20 control software or via the Windows software included in the delivery.
The EFS-10/EFS-100 covers the frequency range above 10 kHz to 9.25 GHz, and can detect electric field strengths ranging from 0.14 V/m to 500 V/m (depending on the optional type). The sensor is powered by a lithium manganese battery with a maximum run time of 80 hours on a full charge.
