      Surge pulses are caused by lightning directly or indirectly hitting outdoor circuits. This will cause a transient high voltage or high current from an electrical current or electromagnetic field. In addition, switching transients from switching glitches and system faults are another source of surges.       VCS 500N10T - Small Surge/Communication Surge Simulator with Built-in Coupling/Decoupling Network

      The VCS 500N10T can perform combined surge tests and communication surge tests up to 10 kV. It also has a built-in single-phase coupling/decoupling network for single-phase AC power port and communication port testing. Equipped with an external coupling/decoupling network, surge combined wave testing can be performed on power lines rated at 100 A per phase or more. No matter whether the coupling/decoupling network is connected or not, by selecting the desired coupling method, the source impedance value and coupling capacitance value will be automatically set.

      VCS 500N10T has a failure detection function for monitoring the level of the equipment under test. Peak voltage and peak current can not only be displayed on the front panel, but also can be uploaded to the software and recorded in the test report. In addition, the VCS 500N10T includes safety features such as access control warning lights and safety interlocks.

      Pre-programmed standard test routines are easy to use. Through the quick start test program of VCS 500N10T, the user can adjust the test parameters online during the test, so as to evaluate the sensitivity threshold of a single device under test. This feature is most suitable for product development testing.

      Through the front panel menu and function keys, users can quickly and accurately edit the test program. The control cursor is used to quickly control all test parameters of the programmed test program, which makes the test process very simple and ensures that each test step can be carried out correctly.

      iec.control supports Windows 7, Windows 8 (64Bit) and Windows 10 operating systems. Remote control is done via USB or GPIB interface. iec.control is compatible with various GPIB cards of National Instruments.

      MS 100N is a 1 m * 1 m magnetic field coil, which meets the requirements of IEC / EN61000-4-8 and IEC / EN 61000-4-9 standards.
