According to the requirements of IEC 60255-26 standard, CNV 508N4 is a special coupling and decoupling network for electronic disturbance testing of measuring relays and protective equipment. It is specified that the 0.5uF capacitance on the wire should double the pulse.
Each cable has an inductance greater than 1.5mH to protect auxiliary equipment from being directly connected to the test pulse. In this test, damped oscillating pulses with a frequency of 1 MHz are used as interference signals, generated by the device OCS500N6 or OCS500N6F.

Depending on the setup configuration not to be tested, test in differential mode (line-to-line in the same pair) or common mode (one pair grounded or one pair ungrounded and the rest grounded). CNV508N4 selects the required coupling method and the line to be coupled through OCS 500N6 to automatically set. During the test, a maximum of 4 pairs/8 lines can be tested.
According to the IEC 60255-26 standard, there are many different ways to test measuring relays and protective equipment under different conditions. Each pair is individually tested differentially. The common mode is suitable for the case where each pair of wires is grounded or one pair of wires is not connected and the rest are grounded.
The CNV 508N4 series is a sophisticated CDNs for fully automatic operation, remote control with different coupling methods by OCS 500N6. According to the coupling method tested, this instrument provides the most convenient and reliable operation experience for users. The selected coupling mode and cable are directly displayed by LED lights.
