main feature:
- LISN Line Impedance Stabilization Network/AMN Artificial Power Network
- Provide the necessary supply voltage (AC or DC) and current for the device under test ( EuT).
- Coupling the interference voltage generated by the EUT and providing it to the receiver.
- Provides a well-defined RF impedance to the Equipment Under Test ( EUT).
- Protection against unwanted interference from the power supply (filter)
- Protects the power supply from unwanted interference voltages generated by the device under test
- We can distinguish three types of LISN: V-type, T-type and Delta-type LISN
- V-LISN measures the asymmetrical interference voltage between two lines L1 and ground or L2 and ground respectively. V-LISN is also called V-AMN, and V-LISN is currently the most commonly used LISN.
- There are two V-LISNs with different impedances . V-LISN with 5μH inductance (CISPR 16-1-2, CISPR 25, ISO 7637, DO160) is usually used for measuring vehicles, ships and aircraft, with DC or 400 Hz connected to the on-board power supply equipment. Another V-LISN of 50 μH is designed to operate at a mains frequency of 50 Hz or 60 Hz according to CISPR 16-1-2, MIL STD 461, and ANSI C63.4.
- The T-ISN (right side of Figure 2) measures the asymmetrical interference voltage (common-mode voltage) and provides it to the EMI receiver. T-ISN is typically used for measurements on telecommunications and data transmission equipment connected to symmetrical lines such as twisted pairs.
