TSS 500N series communication surge simulator is an electromagnetic compatibility test instrument used to verify the immunity of communication equipment.
The TSS 500N6B complies with the Bellcore GR-1089-Core standard for 4-wire test applications. With the use of CNB 500 coupling network (option), it can also support 12 pairs of communication line port tests. The device can also be used for 2-wire communication port testing.

TSS 500N series communication surge simulator is an electromagnetic compatibility testing instrument used to verify the immunity of communication equipment. TSS 500N6B was developed to provide a very easy-to-operate test equipment for communication surge testing, which meets the test requirements of Bellcore GR-1089-Core standard for 4-wire applications. The standard contains multiple test pulses requiring different source impedance values to generate the pulses required by the Bellcore standard, Class 1 lightning pulse and indoor lightning surge tests, and AC power port tests. All these pulses can be generated by a single device, the TSS 500N6B.
The TSS 500N6B also integrates the coupling/decoupling networks required to interface the communication ports (2-wire and 4-wire applications). A built-in switching loop automatically sets the simulator to generate the required test pulses based on the selected coupling mode. With the use of CNB 500 (option), TSS 500N6B also supports 10 / 360 us pulse test on 12 pairs of communication ports at the same time.
Pre-programmed standard test routines are easy to use. In addition, TSS 500N4 also provides a quick start test program, users can adjust test parameters online during the test, so as to evaluate the sensitivity level of a single device under test.
Through the front panel menu and function keys, users can quickly and accurately edit the test program. The control cursor is used to quickly control all test parameters of the programmed test program, which makes the test process very simple and ensures that each test step can be carried out correctly.

Various operating functions and EM TEST standard information library allow users to easily complete custom test procedures. It can automatically identify the connected EM TEST test equipment and perform automatic configuration. Its powerful reporting function can help users generate test reports that meet international requirements.
iec.control supports Windows 7, Windows 8 (64Bit) and Windows 10 operating systems. Remote control is done via USB or GPIB interface. iec.control is compatible with various GPIB cards of National Instruments.
