TSS 500N series communication surge simulator is an electromagnetic compatibility test instrument used to verify the immunity of communication equipment.

TSS 500N4 is an ultra-small integrated test equipment capable of generating communication surge pulses of 10/700 us, 9/720 us and voltage surge pulses of 1.2/50 us.
The TSS 500N4 is not only a pulse generator but also has a built-in coupling network for 2-wire and 4-wire test applications. Its output can be directly connected to the communication port of the device under test. In addition, EM TEST offers coupling networks suitable for testing 4-wire or 8-wire communication lines.
Pre-programmed standard test procedures are very easy to use. In addition, TSS 500N4 also provides a quick start test program, allowing users to adjust test parameters online during the test to evaluate the sensitivity level of a single device under test.
Through the front panel menu and function keys, users can edit test programs quickly and accurately. The control cursor is used to quickly control all test parameters of the programmed test program, making the test process very simple and ensuring that each test step can be performed correctly.

iec.control supports Windows 7, Windows 8 (64Bit) and Windows 10 operating systems. Remote control is accomplished via USB or GPIB interface. iec.control is compatible with various GPIB cards from NI.

Coupling networks CNV 504S1 and CNV 508S1 can meet the requirements of the IEC 61000-4-5 standard for surge testing of communication lines. They are suitable for 4-wire or 8-wire test applications respectively. The decoupling network consists of a pair of current compensating inductors.
