The OCS 500N6.8 simulator can perform ring wave tests with a test voltage up to 6 kV in accordance with EN / IEC 61000-4-12; it can also perform oscillation frequency tests in accordance with EN / IEC 61000-4-18 Damped oscillatory wave tests at 100 kHz / 1 MHz with test voltages up to 3 kV.
Ringing waves are non-repetitive damped oscillatory transients that occur on low-voltage power, control, and signal lines in public and non-public power grids. Damped oscillatory waves are reproducible transient phenomena that mainly occur on power, control and signal lines installed in high and medium voltage substations.
Together with the magnetic field coil MS 100N, the OCS 500N6.8 can also perform oscillating magnetic field tests according to EN / IEC 61000-4-10.

The stand-alone test set OCS 500N6 completes EM TEST for IEC 61000-4-x standard tests. It can generate a 6 kV ringing wave that meets the ANSI/IEEE C62.41 standard; at the same time, it can also generate a 3 kV damped oscillation wave at a frequency of 100 kHz and 1 MHz, which not only complies with EN/IEC 61000-4 -18 standard and also meets the relevant requirements of ANSI / IEEE C39.70 standard for testing protective relays and relay systems.
Damped oscillating waves can also be used to generate damped oscillating magnetic fields required by the EN / IEC 61000-4-10 standard (in combination with field coils, eg MS 100). The OCS 500N6 has a built-in coupling/decoupling network for single-phase or three-phase testing, capable of delivering a rated current of 16 A or 32 A per line, respectively.
Through the front panel menu or the built-in USB, GPIB interface, OCS 500N6 can realize both manual operation and remote control. Its failure detection function allows the user to control the ongoing test sequence based on the state of the device under test. The monitoring output port (BNC) is used to measure and verify the signal. The OCS 500N6 also includes safety features such as safety lock and warning light control.
Pre-programmed standard test routines provide maximum user convenience. In addition, OCS 500N6 also provides a quick-start test program with online adjustable parameters to evaluate the sensitivity level of the device under test.
Through the front panel menu and function keys, users can quickly and accurately edit the test program. The control cursor is used to quickly control all test parameters of the programmed test program, which makes the test process very simple and ensures that each test step can be carried out correctly.

iec.control supports Windows 7, Windows 8 (64Bit) and Windows 10 operating systems. Remote control is done via USB or GPIB interface. iec.control is compatible with various GPIB cards of National Instruments.
