The field source included in the Langer ESD 200 ps Field Coupled Probe Set produces a fast electric and magnetic ESD pulse field ( 200 ps). These fields can be accurately and reproducibly loaded on an integrated circuit, thereby verifying the immunity of the integrated circuit to electrostatic discharge fields. Electrostatic discharge disturbances coupled to flat component groups during testing generate fast electric and magnetic fields ( 200 ps) in addition to the standard ESD pulse fields. The generated field acts on the surface of the flat component group and can pass through the housing of the integrated circuit. If these fields pass through the integrated circuit, disturbing processes occur in the integrated circuit. Therefore, in addition to the electrostatic discharge interference coupled with the circuit on the pins of the integrated circuit, the influence of the magnetic field and the electric field on the integrated circuit is also a very important interference path.
